The activities of our church
Our
church is a community made up of believers who wish to live according to the
teachings of the Bible, the Word of God and worship, honor
and serve the Lord, work for the edification, exhortation and comfort of
believers and is committed in the advertisement of 'Gospel
of the grace of Jesus Christ to all who live in the city and the province of
Parma, as well as the Word of God teaches: "And devoted themselves to the
apostles' teaching and fellowship, the breaking of bread and the
prayers. And
every day were devoted themselves to the temple, they broke bread at home and
took their food together with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God
and having favor with all the people. And
the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved "(Acts
2:42, 46, 47).
The worship service
"We
worship God acceptably with reverence and godly fear" (Hebrews 12:28). Worship
is the time at which the Sunday the church gathers to worship the Lord in
spirit and truth, "according to the teaching of Holy Scripture. The
Evangelism consists of several times as well identifiable in the celebration of
the New Testament church, reading and preaching the Word of God, the spontaneous
prayer of believers, testimony and songs. Worship
is offered to God for all believers of the church choir and participating in an
orderly fashion in the celebration.
Sunday School
"Train
a child in the way he should go, even when old will not turn from it"
(Proverbs 22:6). Sunday
School consists of a systematic study of the Bible and
is structured for different age groups from three years. In
our community, was held from October to May, Sunday from 9.15am to 10.30am and
is currently composed of six classes: children, babies, children 1, 2 boys,
adolescents and adults. The
book that we study in all classes is only one, the Bible.
Bible study
"This
book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but meditate day and night,
take care to put into practice all that is written in it so can you in all your
undertakings, you prosper" (Joshua 1:8 ). Bible
study is the weekly meeting devoted to a better understanding of the Word of
God, the Holy Bible. Usually
the topics covered and presented in a systematic way for several nights can be
divided into three cycles: doctrinal (studying a biblical doctrine), exegesis
(studying a book of the Bible) and thematic (studying a biblical argument.)
The cult of prayer
"All persevered in
prayer" (Acts 1:14). The
cult of prayer consists in reading and meditating on the Word of God and in a
time of prayer to God to raise our thanksgiving, adoration, praise,
intercession and supplication for the needs of believers, the Church and for
the salvation
of the lost.
The meeting of young
"Your
people will offer when willing gather your army. Parade
of holiness from the womb of the dawn is coming to you your youth like dew
"(Psalm 110:3). Every
Saturday at 20:00 the youth of the community come together at the local cult. It
is a chance meeting during which through preaching or
study you read and meditate the Bible, young people bear witness to what God
has done in their lives, prays and sings praises to the Lord.
The work of evangelization
Our
church wants to obey the Great Commission of Christ: "Go ye into all the
world and preach the gospel to every creature ... And they went forth and
preached everywhere the Lord working with them and confirming the word with
signs that accompanied it "(Mark 16:15, 20). Just
to let everyone come to know the "good news" of salvation in Jesus
Christ, our church is particularly engages in evangelism, which is the free
distribution of Christian literature among the people in the city and the
province of Parma made several
days of the week, in setting up tables for distributing Christian literature in
evangelistic meetings held in town halls in various towns of the territory of
Parma and, in summer, keep in worship under a marquee on several occasions
during the ' summer
and cults evangelism in the streets of communities in the province on Saturday
afternoon.
The choir
"Sing
the glory of his name, honor it with your
praise" (Psalm 66:2). The
choir of the local community plays its role as an ongoing effort to develop the
singing to the Lord for the edification of the church and evangelism. Through
this commitment, brothers and sisters have to sing the praises of the Lord, not
professionally, but as a service offered to God with devotion and joy. Our
choir performs Christian songs with
a biblical message with the intention to engage in praising the believers,
witness to unbelievers and to prepare the hearts to the message of the gospel
